Gipsy On The Rocks

Yes, the rumors are true. Gipsy On The Rocks will continue by the name Redding. During the writing of new songs, we felt that our music had changed a lot compared to our first demo recordings back in 2008 and even to some of the tracks on our album Soul For A Gun. Also, we sometimes didn’t feel too comfortable with the Gipsy thing. So… we decided to make a fresh start and found ourselves a new name! New recordings will follow soon.

The coming winter months we retreat to work on new songs and ideas. In springtime we’ll be back with some fresh music.

Maandag 31 oktober spelen we een semi-akoestische set tijdens Berkenbeat 2011. Berkenbeat is een jaarlijks terugkerende benefiet concertavond georganiseerd door personeelsleden van Berkenbeek. Dat is een school voor Buitengewoon Onderwijs voor leerlingen met een verstandelijke beperking.

Met de opbrengst van deze avond investeert de school in de verdere uitrusting van een muziek- en expressielokaal. Ze plannen ook de bouw van enkele lokalen waar paramedici de leerlingen van de school zullen begeleiden.

Een ticket kost 9 euro (7 euro in voorverkoop), en voor dat geld krijg je niet minder dan vijf optredens: De Vettige Wijven, Gipsy On The Rocks, The Charm, The Kids en Moonshine Reunion.

Om de school een extra steuntje in de rug te geven, zal Gipsy On The Rocks per verkochte cd of t-shirt 2 euro doneren aan Berkenbeek.
